BFF

Banner and Jacqueline have know each other their entire life (Well, for us is a blink of time, but for them it's a very long time). B's parents are in our Lifegroup and we met them when I was preggo w/ Jacqueline and Ericka was preggo with B. Now they enjoy playing together when we have our Lifegroup meetings.
They share a love for chips! They attacked this left over bowl of chips and that was pretty much dinner that night!

Mullet and Kitchen

Jacqueline is constantly doing cute things and I'm so glad I'm documenting most of them in this blog. Yesterday she was walking around with a her hair brush and them went to get this little stool. I was wondering what she was up to and this is what I found. She wanted to see herself while brushing her hair. Good thing she can't see her mullet! (I really got to do something about it. I've been contemplating about just cutting it myself or at least trim it).

My friend Claudia gave her daughters play kitchen to Jacqueline since they no longer play with it. She absolutely LOVED it!!! As soon as she saw it, her eyes light up and she played for a long time.
It's just perfect for her size!

The Last Box

We have finally moved in into our new house! Kyle and I worked hard to get settle as quick as possible-- that meant opening all of the moving in boxes before Thanksgiving. For our surprise, we found these 2 little creatures in the last box! We were wondering where they've been! :>
Suburban life is quite different from living in an urban neighborhood. All of our neighboors came out to greet us on the day we moved in. Everyone is so friendly and there are 33 kids in our street! There are several toddlers same age as Jacqueline. Our next door neighboors brought us homemade cakes to welcome us. I feel like I stepped in into the 1950's where neighbors actually knew each other's names and you would not feel weird knocking on their door to ask to borrow a cup of sugar. I love it! I though I would miss the old house b/c of the memories we've shared, but I haven't. I'm ready to build new memories here w/ Kyle and my girls!

Sisters

So glad I had my camera handy. How sweet is this? Vivian laying on Jacqueline's legs. I know it won't always be like this (I'm sure there will be lots of fight as they grow up).

High Heels and Fireplace Offense #2

There she goes...
Sassy!!!!!!!

She was quite elegant walking in my shoes. I was impressed with her balanced.

Fireplace offense #2--I found her laying down and playing in the fireplace. Both her hands and feet were completely black!

Oh....that's where you've been putting our newspaper!

More Randomness

Lots of Random Pictures

With little time to blog, I thought I would post severeal ramdom pix of the girls. I don't want to completely dtop bloggin for lack for time. So for now, you'll may see lots of "random" posts. Better than no blogging at all. Hopefully soon I'll get more organized and be able to write meaniful posts...don't hold your breath! :>

My girls are 16 months apart, but wear the same diaper size! Maybe I need to start feeding Jacqueline butter again!

Improvised "play room"

"Who is this other baby in the mirror?"

Jacqueline thinks that when she doesn't see us, we can't see her. I love the innocency of child!

Baby Prison

2 beautiful flowers

She found her feet

I love the monogramm bloomers my friend Anne gave Vivian. She also gave Jacqueline one when she was born (Thanks, Anne!)

What has The Big Sister being up to?

Puffs and babies everywhere

Story time in the library--great place to be in a hot Summer morning!

Getting prepared to cheer for Brazil! I told Kyle that during the World Cup J and V are 100% Brazilians and they will pull for Brazil even if they are playing against USA--he didn't agree with my idea.

I took J to Latta Park where there is a spray area and she loved it. But, I didn't love it. She decided to run to the playground and everywhere. Next time I'll take my sling so the baby can be with me while I run after her

As part of my survival strategy, I let Jacqueline watch an absurd amount of TV during our first weeks after Vivian was born. I know AAP (American Association of Pediatrics) and DSS would be so proud! Her morning routine consisted of drinking her milk while watching Blue's Clues. TV=great babysitter! She no longer watches TV ALL DAY. I occasionally let her watch some.

I LOVE this picture of her! I never seen anyone so happy while holding a mop!

On Mother's Day, we went to Freedom Park. Jacqueline didn't want to be in the stroller. She walked the entire time we were there and Kyle was completely exhausted by the time we left.

A quick picture before she went back to the playground

Black beans(made by Vovo) and yogurt--Yummy! :>
Jacqueline was a bit clingy once we came back to the hospital with the baby, but it was short lived. She doesn't seem to be jealous or interested in Vivian. She knows something is different and there is a new "person" around. She continues to be her active self. Although she looks so BIG for me now, she is still our baby. We have 2 babies for sure! I tried to give her lots of attention, hugs and kisses, but sometimes it's not enough. As I have learned raising a toddler, there is never enough time in the day to give them attention!

She enjoys being in her room and "reading" her books. Sometimes she stays there for long periods of time and I need to check on her to make sure she is ok
Jacqueline her friend Amira--they play so well together! They are in the same play group

J still fits in the swing! Hope she doesn' try to climb on it when the baby is there.

Everything is a toy!

Carbs and Sweets

It's negative! My 1st glucose test was 1 point over the normal range and I had to take a 3 hour test to check if I had Gestational Diabetes, which it was done Friday so the entire weekend I was wondering if I was going to have to give up swees and carbs and even have to take insulin the rest of my pregnancy. This afternoon the nurse finally called saying that it was negative. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Praise God! I was so happy that I didn't have to give up my favorite food group: SWEETS!

Just in case, I ate my share of carbs and sweets during the Cancun trip, at a friend's daughter b-day party on Sat. and yesterday at at a Super Bowl get together with our Lifegroup. Now the madness is over. Time to get back to the Gym and eat in moderation.

Ever since Jacqueline started walking she is non-stop. At Jayden's birthday party(Jayden is my college friend Jenny's daughter), she was all over the place. I had to chase her the entire time. Jenny's father-in-law was so sweet to offer to hold her while I got me something to eat.

This is Jacqueline and her daughterMayla(5 months old). I miss that stage, but Baby Kuba # 2 will be here before I know it. Can't wait!

This is Jenny and she is from Hong Kong. We've known each other since my Junior year in college. She went back to H. Kong for a while. I'm so glad she moved back, but now she maybe be moving to Boone, NC (where we went to school)
This is the b-day girl! She didn't really want me to take a picture, but I snapped a quick one
