Fruit of the Womb

Yesterday I helped throw a baby shower to a very dear friend
Christina has a knack for decorating and making things beautiful. She came up with all the decoration ideas and everything looked amazing!

The mom to be "supposely" already chose the name of her bundle of joy, so for fun, Cheryl had the idea to  "help" them by asking the guests to make name recommendation and to use as a wine charm. How creative!
If you know me well, you know how much I LOVE cake and I'm such a cake snob. This cake did not disappoint me. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! So glad that was some left over  and we got to take some home!

 Here she is!
 We ate some yummy food
and then was time to open gifts
Guests signed a message for Vickie and Tom in this keep sake plate
By far, this is my favorite picture of the day. Vickie's mom is looking at her with so much tenderness and love
Here are all the wonderful ladies who helped pull this shower together. I enjoyed meeting all of them.
Baby Defelice enjoyed the shower too... he was joyfully kicking!!
I'm overjoyed for Vickie! I was so honored to be part of this celebration. She will be an amazing mom. This baby is truly a gift from God!

"Moore", Please!

I had the most amazing weekend w/ my mom and two of my best friends (Claudia and Kim). It has being one of my life dreams to attend a Beth Moore conference and this weekend this dream came true!! It was so worth the wait. She is such a gifted speaker, Godly woman, and so funny! It felt like she is this character in a book that came to life and she is exacly what I thought she was by reading her books and doing her bible studys. God has giving her a gift to speak to woman in a way that feels like she is your best friend  having a heart-to-heart chat at Starbucks. The words that come out of her mouth are words of wisdom inspired by the Holy Spirit. She speaks out the truth with God given authority. She is passionate about Jesus and, even if you were to try to resist, you can't help by been rubbed off  with her fire for Him. She speaks from her heart, she is so genuine and not for one moment she leads you into thinking she is not as sinful as you. God bless this woman who uses her gift to reach all of us!
The topic was on "HOLD FAST" which is means to stick to, cling to, hold onto, to cleave, to adhere, to be glued, to be stuck together (to GOD).  She used the 2 words to form an acroynyn.

His affection is set upon you
Only He is your praise
Loving Him awakens your true heart
Doing His well does us good
Fleeing to Him means fleeing with Him
Any tighter embrace will also replace
Satan wants what you have
The  Lord is your life!

There were 9400 people there!!! Mostly woman, but I saw 3-4 guys (prob dragged by their wives!)

Yes, people, we were this close to her!
Love how dramatic she is!
I bumped to one of Kyle's co-workers wife (Barbara). She is so sweet and I was so glad to see her there!

I'll defintely want to go to another Beth Moore conference!  I left there wanting "MOORE" Beth!! More Jesus! I'm going to HOLD FAST to Him!!!

I took the girls to Matteo's Bday party yesterday. My friend Daniella is an amazing party planner! She is so creative and everything was perfect!
I loved the party favors--the little ducky containers had M&M for the Mommies and the bubbles and silverwear for the kiddos

The food table was assembled beautifully
The bday boy Matteo and his little friends--They are all Brazilian-Americans (some 1/2 and 1/2 and other's 100% brazilians)

California Love

Kyle, Vivian and I spent a few days in California to attend the wedding of one of his old college friends. We flew to L.A and then drove about two hours to Solvang--which is about 45 min from Santa Barbara. Jacqueline stayed with my mom. It would be to difficult to take a toddler to a wedding, especially since Kyle was in the wedding. How would I handle an active toddler and an infant in a vineyard?!!!! :>

Beautiful California Valley

Being tourists

A quick stop to nurse Baby Creature

The entrance of Gainey Vineyard in Santa Inez

Vineyards

Where was Vivian? She was passed out in the stroller after wine tasting

We sat in this cozy patio for a while. It was so peaceful and had a gorgeous view!

While Kyle was spending time with the groom, Vivian and I went to this restaurant for brunch

And this is what I had! Ham and cheese crepe with Hollandaise sauce...soooo good!
Hanging out with my baby girl

You could find a bakery in every corner of Solvang

This is a "Napolean's Hat"--made with martizan and dipped in chocolate. One of the many treats I enjoyed!

Vivian behaved very well during the ceremony. She entertained herself with her hands and then fell asleep

My handsome husband was one of the groomsmen. Wiese had a hard time choosing a best men--for him, they are all BEST men. He gave the rings to the last groomsmen and he passed down the rings to each groomsmen until the first one handed to the groom. They were so very careful passing the rings down the line...it was symbolic. He wanted every groomsmen to touch the rings--like if they were giving a blessing
Renee was all smiles. Her dress was g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

This was right after the ceremony. Vivian was not the youngest guest. There was baby boy who was 2 weeks younger than Vivian

The DJ played the song: "That's Amore". The guests went around with their glasses toasting each other and singing:

"When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie that's amore...
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine. That's amore
Bells will ring ting-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a ling and you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella"
Joyful Bride

Upon our arrival at the vineyard, there was lemonade, sweet tea and cookies for the guests before the ceremony. What a refreshing idea!

The groom is a football coach, so instead of the traditional guest book, you could sign a football How creative!
Look at those cheeks!!!

Before the reception started, guests were sipping on wine, sampling appetizers and mingling outside. The tables were beautifully decorated with candles of different sizes
Renee has an impeccable taste and an amazing attention to detail. I loved that Vivian had her own place setting!!! Although only 12 weeks old, Renee made sure she had her own place on the table

If you know Wiese, this face is so him! Always telling a story, never short of words with a hint of dry humor

Since there were no best man, all the groomsmen had to give a toast

One day he will be walking down the aisle on her wedding day...
Petit treats in additional to wedding cake? I was in heaven!!!

First dance

"Two are better than one..."
Ecclesiastes 4:10

An U2 song came on and all the Wabash crew started jumping around

They jumped in a circle the entire time. I had no clue what in the world they were doing, but figure it was something college related. Later Kyle explained to me that's their fraternity song. It was neat to see old friends bonding that way and reminiscing old college days (in a very physical/"meaty" kind of way)!!

The wedding was amazing and we sure had a blast!
