Summer Rain, New Toy and Fireplace

My sweet baby creature

Who was playing in the fireplace????!!!!

I have fond memories of my childhood playing in the rain. Jacqueline will have it too!

She loved running in the rain with Dada
Running in her diapers without a care in the world...

We got Jacqueline a a slide for the backyard. Every time I pick her up at the nursery at the YMCA or we take her to the playground, she doesn't want to leave. I thought it would be a fun toy to have especially during the Summer time.

One More Wedding Picture

Someone took this picture at Wiese's wedding and I didn't have it when I posted the pictures yesterday. I thought it was so sweet. Daddy and baby creature dancing together! Ohhh, it just melts my heart!

California Love

Kyle, Vivian and I spent a few days in California to attend the wedding of one of his old college friends. We flew to L.A and then drove about two hours to Solvang--which is about 45 min from Santa Barbara. Jacqueline stayed with my mom. It would be to difficult to take a toddler to a wedding, especially since Kyle was in the wedding. How would I handle an active toddler and an infant in a vineyard?!!!! :>

Where was Vivian? She was passed out in the stroller after wine tasting

We sat in this cozy patio for a while. It was so peaceful and had a gorgeous view!

While Kyle was spending time with the groom, Vivian and I went to this restaurant for brunch

And this is what I had! Ham and cheese crepe with Hollandaise sauce...soooo good!
Hanging out with my baby girl

You could find a bakery in every corner of Solvang

This is a "Napolean's Hat"--made with martizan and dipped in chocolate. One of the many treats I enjoyed!

Vivian behaved very well during the ceremony. She entertained herself with her hands and then fell asleep

My handsome husband was one of the groomsmen. Wiese had a hard time choosing a best men--for him, they are all BEST men. He gave the rings to the last groomsmen and he passed down the rings to each groomsmen until the first one handed to the groom. They were so very careful passing the rings down the line...it was symbolic. He wanted every groomsmen to touch the rings--like if they were giving a blessing
Renee was all smiles. Her dress was g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

This was right after the ceremony. Vivian was not the youngest guest. There was baby boy who was 2 weeks younger than Vivian

The DJ played the song: "That's Amore". The guests went around with their glasses toasting each other and singing:

"When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie that's amore...
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine. That's amore
Bells will ring ting-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a ling and you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella"
Joyful Bride

Upon our arrival at the vineyard, there was lemonade, sweet tea and cookies for the guests before the ceremony. What a refreshing idea!

The groom is a football coach, so instead of the traditional guest book, you could sign a football How creative!
Look at those cheeks!!!

Before the reception started, guests were sipping on wine, sampling appetizers and mingling outside. The tables were beautifully decorated with candles of different sizes
Renee has an impeccable taste and an amazing attention to detail. I loved that Vivian had her own place setting!!! Although only 12 weeks old, Renee made sure she had her own place on the table

If you know Wiese, this face is so him! Always telling a story, never short of words with a hint of dry humor

Since there were no best man, all the groomsmen had to give a toast

One day he will be walking down the aisle on her wedding day...
Petit treats in additional to wedding cake? I was in heaven!!!

First dance

"Two are better than one..."
Ecclesiastes 4:10

An U2 song came on and all the Wabash crew started jumping around

They jumped in a circle the entire time. I had no clue what in the world they were doing, but figure it was something college related. Later Kyle explained to me that's their fraternity song. It was neat to see old friends bonding that way and reminiscing old college days (in a very physical/"meaty" kind of way)!!

The wedding was amazing and we sure had a blast!

4th of July--Pool and Friends

We spent 4th of July with our old friends from Lifegroup (our first LG before we started our own). It was so good to hang with them. Most of them have kids now. Kyle and I spent most of our time taking turns chasing Jacqueline, but we still managed to have fun. Vivian spent almost the entire time sleeping in the stroller.

Above is a picture of my husband with his famous laugh. I LOVE his laugh. It's so joyful.

It was so hot. I left Vivian on her diaper. Jacqueline was fascinated with the pool.

A rare moment of Vivian AWAKE!!! Jacqueline was wearing to life saver for a while. Sometimes she would loose her balance and fall on the floor. It was so funny b/c she looked like a turtle upside down!

Our 1st picture as a family of 4

Kyle had Monday off and we went for a drive (house hunting). In the way home--per my request--we stopped for ice cream. Summer is just not Summer without eating ice cream every chance you get!
