We went to Outback to celebrate Kyle's B-day. It was the first time Jacqueline sat in a high chair at a restaurant. She did great, but she was a really disappointed b/c we didn't get her Blooming onions for appetizer! This picture doesn't do justice to how ENORMOUS Kyle's steak was! He ate every bit of it and still had room to eat some of my catfish.
Connor(Kyle's brother) called to wish him happy birthday
A giant cookie and milk in wine glasses(aka self-esteem glasses). It doesn't get better than that!
Happy Birthday, Sweetness! I love you so much and I'm glad to be back in time from Brazil to celebrate YOU! You are the BEST husband and Dad. I love you and I'm proud to be your wife!
My Dad´s long time dream was to meet one of his grandchildren. I had promised him that once I had my first child I would bring her to meet him. I kept my promise and on July 6, 2009 early in the morning, he met met Jacqueline. He was ectatic and Jacqueline was experiencing a bit of anxiety. In the next few moments after this picture, she started to cry. In December my brother Daniel is bringing his two children to meet him. What an incredible year for Dad to meet all of his grandchildren in the same year! To dream is to wish something great to happen; reality put a smile on our hearts and create unforgettable moments to be treasured.
Jacqueline and I are in Brazil on vacation for 3 weeks. I brought her to meet my Dad, his wife and siblings. My Dad has never met any of his grandchildren, so it has being very special our time here in Brazil. It was the first time she ever been in a airplane and she did great! Luckily we had 3 seats for the 2 of us and I was able to place her car seat in the window seat and slept on the other two seats(I only paid for my ticket and she was a "lap baby"). The plane left at 8:45pm. She was very hyper at first. She was laughing and intrigued by all the lights in the plane. By 10pm she got tired and crashed. She slept all night and only woke up when we landed in Fortaleza at 5:45am. The vibration of the airplane is better than any car ride!
I took Jacqueline to get her little foot imprinted in a picture frame for Father's Day
After several attemps, I finally was able to get her foot imprinted with the help of someone in the store
Before church
Lunch at Village Tavern

Yesterday was Kyle's First Father's Day. I love seem my husband happy. We had a wonderful day together. On Saturday I took him in a "mystery" outing. We got in the car and all he knew is that he suppose to drive towards East Blvd. As we get closer to the "mystery" place, I told him that we were going to pick his Father's Day gift. For months he has being saying that he needs to get a new pair of tennis shoes, but I wouldn't dare pick them myself without his input. When we were dating, we went shoe shopping and he took WAY more than 1 hour(it really felt like the entire afternoon) to choose a pair of shoes that he has probably worn them twice! He was very excited that getting a new pair of tennir shoes was his Father's Day gift (and quite relived it wasn't another massage given by a man masseuse). I learned my lessons few birthdays ago...Anyway, we only spent 20 min in the store! I took him to a runner specialty store, so basically the sales rep. asked him a few questions and advised him on which shoes to get. Perfect! On Sunday we went to church and then to lunch at Village Tavern with a couple friend(from our Lifegroup), Banner(their 4 month old baby) and Ericka's Stepfather.
Jacqueline has no idea how blessed she is for having Kyle as her Dad. It warms my heart when I see him with her. He is so tender and loving to her . He already told me that I'll have to do most of the discipline because it will be very hard for him to do it. There is just something so special about the love of a Father for his daughter. Daddy is the first man in a little girls life and their relationship will set the stardart on what kind of husband she will choose one day. Kyle has admirable qualities that I hope her husband will have one day. She smiles when he plays with her and soon enough she will be calling him Daddy. What a sweet sound it will be!
I'm living the happiest time of my life. I'm married to the man that I've prayed for and I'm the mother of 2 beautiful tiny little people who have invaded my heart the moment that I laid my eyes on them. I would eat cake every day if I could. I love feeling clean and sometimes event take a shower before working out or going to the beach, I sleep with an "eye sheet", I love smelling my husband, I love coffee with tons of cream, my guilty pleasure is watching Teen Mom and reading "trash" magazines, I have phobia of frogs, I pop my knuckles, love the smell of clean laundry,I often misplace my car keys, phone and wallet. I wish I was more patient. I hope my children one day will accept Jesus as their Savior. I blog because I love taking pictures of my children and writing about what I don't want to forget.
