The Dissapearance of the remote control and Little Picasso

I spent a while searching for the remote control. I looked at the usual places (behind the sofa, floor, kitchen ). There was still no where to be found. Finally I had the idea of looking in the girls shopping cart...and yes, there is was, tucked in between pricess clothes...the crime was committed by Ms. Vivian!
In hope that Jacqueline would entertainnet herself for a while, I bough her some paint and paint brush
She loved it and had a lot of fun. And, it's a much cheaper than paiting the walls!

Vivian wanted to play too. She started pulling J's paper. Jacqueline looked at her and said: "Don't touch it. You are going to time out!" And pointed with her finger inside the house. It was too funny!
This is Vivian's "fake cry face"

Where is Dudu?

Jacqueline looked at one of our wedding pictures and asked Kyle: "Where is Dudu?"  She could not understand that she has not been born yet. I thought it was so cute! I'm looking forward to many more cute questions as she tries to understand the world around her.

The day after my Dad left, we were in the car leaving to run errands and Jacqueline all day hsn't asked about my Dad. She finally asked me: "Where is Vovo?". I thought it was so sweet. I got teary eyes. Almost a week after he left, she looked at me with a sad face and said: "I want to see vovo" (Que ve vovo!). I think she miss him.
Bolota is still crawling. She seems not interestes in walking at all. She is a super fast crawler.
Sometimes she lifst both legs out fo the floor and she looks like a puppy

Little Picasso

What you see painted in my walls is burgundy lipstick. Our little Picasso scribbed in 6 of ous walls. She also destroyed the carpet. Kyle and I spent our evening scrubbing the carpet hoping it would come off. Not even the professional carpet cleaners were able to reverse her "art work".

On the following morning, she passed by the walls and said: "Jacqueline paint".
How can anyone be mad for too long when looking at that face??!!!

Lie and Humility

She lied. I smelled a suspicious scent and asked her: "Did you poop?" And with a very guilty face she answered: "NO!" I found the evidence and realized that my girl had lied to me for the very first time. This will prob be the first and last time she will ever do this, right??!!!!

Lately she has said so many funny things that if I don't start writing in the blog, I'll sure forget them. If there is one way God keeps us humble is by blessing us with children. The other day I had just woken up and haven't even brush my teeth yet, had a bad cold and my mouth piece was still in my mouth. I went to get her out of her crib and started a conversation with while holding her and speaking very closely to her. She looked at me and said: "Coco, phew"! (Coco it's poop in Portuguese). I was horrified, but thought it was hilarious. Kids have no filter. I better start brushing my teeth, so I don't hear that again!!

On Friday, a lady rear ended me and she said: "It's ok, Mommy, Car broken. Car get fix". How sweet is that?

Every day she says new words and is now even saying complete sentences! (like this morning: "I'm not sleepy. I want out!" (meaning out of the crib--I was watching her throught the bathroom door, but she couldn't see me). I love that she can communicate both in English and Portuguese. She talks to me in Portuguese and speaks to Kyle in English. I'm so excited that all my hard work is starting to pay off. I really hope both our girls will grow up to be fully bilingual.
