Covenant Promises

Yesterday we dedicated our sweet baby to the Lord. One day Kyle and I hope that Jacqueline might trust Jesus as her Savior for the forgiveness of her sins. God has given us the gift of being parents and has entrusted us to care for her and teach her to love Him and follow Him. We'll need lots of wisdom from God to guide her. It made me think how important it is that Kyle and I be an example to her, so she can see Christ through us. What a huge responsibility! However, I know God will be right there with us to guide us. Our prayer is that Jacqueline one day will profess Jesus to be her Lord and Savior and that she will be a godly woman who will love the Lord with all her heart.

All the couples said their vows. It was really emotional (despite having pregnancy hormones flowing through my body)

Kyle anointing Jacqueline with oil (just clarify, we do not believe that "anointing with oil" has any special power. The purpose of the ritual is to point to the One, the Lord, who is the power of blessings. It's a symbolic gesture and it means: "To be set apart and dedicated to serve God").
These are a few friends from our Life Group. To the left, is David and Laura and to our right is Ericka and Jimmy. Their son Banner was also dedicated. All 3 women are pregnant!!

Kyle's parents and my mom were the only family that were able to make to the dedication. We were so happy they were there to share this special day with us!

WE LOVE YOU , JACQUELINE!! WE FEEL SO BLESSED TO BE YOUR PARENTS AND WE ARE HONORED THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU TO US. WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND AND WILL TRY TO BE THE BEST PARENTS TO YOU. SOMETIMES WE WILL FAIL, BUT KNOW THAT OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN NEVER WILL! WE HOPE THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED BEYOND WHAT WE THOUGH IT WAS EVER POSSIBLE. IT'S A LOVE WITH NO LIMIT. IT'S A LOVE THAT OVERFLOWS FROM OUR HEARTS. YOU CAME TO BE FROM AN UNION OF TWO PEOPLE WHO DEEPLY LOVE EACH OTHER. YOU ARE A JOY IN OUR LIVES AND WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER TO RAISE YOU AND CALL YOU OUR DAUGHTER!
