I went to lunch with my friend Kim and in the way home, I didn't have any toys to give to Jacqueline and all I could manage to find in my car was a blue spoon. Then, I drove to Trader Joe's and when I get out of the car, this is what I saw!
If you ever needed something tangible that describes "pregnancy brain", here it is! Last Saturday I was hungry(as I am every hour of the day with this pregnancy), and I decided to eat a veggie burger. The picture above is what happened after I cooked it in the microwave for 4minutes!!!! Now, keep in mind that the directions(which I've read it--supposedly) said 4 minutes IF YOU WERE COOKING IN THE SKILLET!!!! Below is a list of my latest pregnancy brain moments:
1)I forgot a gallon of milk overnight in the car 2)I forgot to meet a friend for lunch and didn't realized until later that day 3)I gave Jacqueline a new sippy cup and was not until 2 days ago that I realized that had a lid, which I NEVER removed it!!! 4)I went to the pediatrician for an appt and when I got there it was closed. Well, it was 7:45am and my appt was not until 8:45am (they open the office at 8:30am)
I am sure I'll be adding to this list as my pregnancy with Baby Kuba # 2 progresses!
I gave her a book to entertain her while I was taking her picture
It just didn't work for long!
So, these pictures were the best ones I could take...
...before she tried to climb out of the chair!
Today my baby is 10 months old. I weighted her this morning and she is 18 1/2 lbs. So she has gained about 2 lbs, but not as much as I was hoping for. We have another appt on Wed. to check her weight next Wed. I'm still feeding her everything with butter, but she hasn't had much of an appetite. Yesterday she refused to eat lunch. The one thins that she loves is baby cereal, so I've being giving her that w/ tons of butter. She also loves avocatos. She eats better when we're in a restaurant (Like her parents, she LOVES eating out!) than when we are at home. I think she likes all the action and that keeps her entertained. One thing that we've doing to her every meal is to "trick" her. When she shuts her mouth and just doens't want eat another bite, we hold a puff (puffs are these little things that have a shape of a star and is the size of a cherrio and melts in your mouth). She loves those and I add some cream cheese to it. So, we hold that close to her mouth and instead of feeding the puff, we shove a spoon full of whatever food she suppose to be eating. It usually works with a few bites, but she eventually realizes she is been tricked. Well, as long as I can get a few spoon fulls of food into her mouth, it's worth it.
A POSITIVE pregnancy test!!! That's right folks...we're expecting Baby Kuba #2! We had our 12 ultrasound this morning and I have a healthy baby being knitted in my womb. Jacqueline and Baby Kuba # 2 will be 16 months apart. Kyle and I are very excited and feel incredibly blessed that God had entrusted us with another little creature. I have being feeling very different from last pregnancy. I have had very little nausea and it didn't started until week 7 or 8. However, I have being really exausted. I'm still nursing Jacqueline, so between nursing her and being pregnant, it just wipes out my energy. My belly started showing a lot sooner, which is kind of nice since people know I am pregnant instead of just wondering if I've gained weight. :0)
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb". Psalm 139:13
I'm living the happiest time of my life. I'm married to the man that I've prayed for and I'm the mother of 2 beautiful tiny little people who have invaded my heart the moment that I laid my eyes on them. I would eat cake every day if I could. I love feeling clean and sometimes event take a shower before working out or going to the beach, I sleep with an "eye sheet", I love smelling my husband, I love coffee with tons of cream, my guilty pleasure is watching Teen Mom and reading "trash" magazines, I have phobia of frogs, I pop my knuckles, love the smell of clean laundry,I often misplace my car keys, phone and wallet. I wish I was more patient. I hope my children one day will accept Jesus as their Savior. I blog because I love taking pictures of my children and writing about what I don't want to forget.
