"He is not here; He has risen!"(Luke 24:6). Jesus, our Savior, is the one who came to die for our sins so we wouldn't have to. However, it seems that the Easter Bunny always tries to fog our minds and take our focus away from the true meaning of Easter. This morning at church, I was feeling humbled as I was reminded of the ultimate gift: His death on the cross, so I can be freed from sin and have the privilege of calling Him Savior and Redeemer! Thank you Lord, for caring for a sinner like me and loving me abundantly to send your son to die for me! I was thinking of my other God given gift (aka Jacqueline), and my prayer for her is that one day she will accept the gift of salvation and as she eats her commercialized Easter sweet treats, she'll be reminded that there is nothing more sweet than to believe that she is forgiven and loved unconditionally by our Savior.
