Vivian started waling 2 weeks ago today (June 6). I was having a playdate at our house and suddently she got up and started walking! Who needs gym membership when you have 2 toddlers to run after?!!
She is busy bee. She loves pushing anything and everything. Lately she loves gathering items around the hosue and putting in her shopping cart
The other day we went to the park and these were the shoes Jacqueline wanted to wear-- her Cinderella slippers. They are "little" big on her!
She also put on her sunglasses and grabbed her wand--all of this was her idea. Too cute!
This was at one of their little friend's bday party. Vivian looked adorable dressed up on her tutu. Jacqueline was really excited to eat cake (like her Momma!) and before we had a chance to stop her, she tokk her little finger and ate some of the icing
J 's newest obsession is to play dress up. One day early in the morning, she asked me to put on her princess outfit. I love to see her play pretend. It brings me back many memories when I was a little girl.
Jacqueline had her very first dress up playdate the other day. Her little friend Kate let her borrow this adorable tinkerbell outfit. Kate and Jacqueline play so well together. During this play date my friend Leslie (Kate's mom) found out that her husband got a job offer and they will be moving to Florida...I'm so happy for them for the great oppotunity, but sad that she's moving away. She is one of my fav girls from playgroup. Who knows...I may take my girls in a road trip for another dress up playdate in FL!
This is J's hair after her nap. Her hair is getting even more curly as she gets older. She takes after her Daddy.
My sweet baby girl doing what she does best: SMILE!
Although a little blurry, I love the way her head is tilted to the side and is grinning at Da-da
Jacqueline is constantly doing cute things and I'm so glad I'm documenting most of them in this blog. Yesterday she was walking around with a her hair brush and them went to get this little stool. I was wondering what she was up to and this is what I found. She wanted to see herself while brushing her hair. Good thing she can't see her mullet! (I really got to do something about it. I've been contemplating about just cutting it myself or at least trim it).
My friend Claudia gave her daughters play kitchen to Jacqueline since they no longer play with it. She absolutely LOVED it!!! As soon as she saw it, her eyes light up and she played for a long time.
After 12 hours of sleep, you would think a toddler would wake up well rested and happy. Each morning, this is my reality. When are toddlerhood tantrums over??!!!
Would this be a good picture to show on her rehearsal dinner? :>
Story time in the library--great place to be in a hot Summer morning!
Getting prepared to cheer for Brazil! I told Kyle that during the World Cup J and V are 100% Brazilians and they will pull for Brazil even if they are playing against USA--he didn't agree with my idea.
I took J to Latta Park where there is a spray area and she loved it. But, I didn't love it. She decided to run to the playground and everywhere. Next time I'll take my sling so the baby can be with me while I run after her
As part of my survival strategy, I let Jacqueline watch an absurd amount of TV during our first weeks after Vivian was born. I know AAP (American Association of Pediatrics) and DSS would be so proud! Her morning routine consisted of drinking her milk while watching Blue's Clues. TV=great babysitter! She no longer watches TV ALL DAY. I occasionally let her watch some.
I LOVE this picture of her! I never seen anyone so happy while holding a mop!
On Mother's Day, we went to Freedom Park. Jacqueline didn't want to be in the stroller. She walked the entire time we were there and Kyle was completely exhausted by the time we left.
A quick picture before she went back to the playground
Black beans(made by Vovo) and yogurt--Yummy! :>
Jacqueline was a bit clingy once we came back to the hospital with the baby, but it was short lived. She doesn't seem to be jealous or interested in Vivian. She knows something is different and there is a new "person" around. She continues to be her active self. Although she looks so BIG for me now, she is still our baby. We have 2 babies for sure! I tried to give her lots of attention, hugs and kisses, but sometimes it's not enough. As I have learned raising a toddler, there is never enough time in the day to give them attention!
She enjoys being in her room and "reading" her books. Sometimes she stays there for long periods of time and I need to check on her to make sure she is ok
Jacqueline her friend Amira--they play so well together! They are in the same play group
J still fits in the swing! Hope she doesn' try to climb on it when the baby is there.
I'm living the happiest time of my life. I'm married to the man that I've prayed for and I'm the mother of 2 beautiful tiny little people who have invaded my heart the moment that I laid my eyes on them. I would eat cake every day if I could. I love feeling clean and sometimes event take a shower before working out or going to the beach, I sleep with an "eye sheet", I love smelling my husband, I love coffee with tons of cream, my guilty pleasure is watching Teen Mom and reading "trash" magazines, I have phobia of frogs, I pop my knuckles, love the smell of clean laundry,I often misplace my car keys, phone and wallet. I wish I was more patient. I hope my children one day will accept Jesus as their Savior. I blog because I love taking pictures of my children and writing about what I don't want to forget.
