After months of research and indecisiveness, I finally bought this double stroller. I took Jacqueline for a test drive at the mall. She loved it! It's pretty light, but once I put the Baby Creature in her infant car seat, I know it will much heavier. I'll probably loose all my pregnancy pounds by pushing this thing, which I'm looking forward to it! When I went to buy the stroller, I had another pregnancy brain moment. I forgot 2 unpaid items in my cart. The sale clerk that helped me carry the stroller to my car was able to take them back, so at least at save me embarrassment to go into the store to explain myself. In the same week, I almost run over 4 pedestrians w/ my car! This baby needs to come out ASAP for the sake of the Charlotte population! I keep telling myself that as long as I don't forget Jacqueline somewhere I'm doing pretty good! For no reason at all (at least that I know), J had a tantrum this past week. She thorough herself on the floor and started being so dramatic. I just had to get my camera to capture the moment. Once I started taking pictures of her, I think she started wondering why I was laughing-- at least that was what it looked like from my point of view. I'll probably use this tactic again next time since it seems to work.
Yesterday Jacqueline participated in her 1st Easter Egg Hunt. She didn't grap the concept at all!! Instead of hunting for eggs, she was running over the place, which was not very exciting for an almost 9 month pregnant woman!
Here are some moms and kiddos from the playgroup
She found a chocolate egg!
Maybe next year she will actually put the eggs in the basket!
Today I had an ultrasound to find out the size of Baby Creature. This is one of the deciding factors in my attempt to try VBAC. I'm 35 weeks and 2 days and she weighs 6.6 lbs--which is about 1 lb more than an average baby. Jacqueline at this stage was 7.4!! Dr. Fletcher says it's good news and she was surprised this baby is smaller than J since babies get larger w/ subsequent pregnancies. Baby Creature is head done (no wonder I've been taking more frequent trips to the bathroom!) and everything else (heart beat, amniotic fluid, etc) looks great! The OB thinks that I will deliver this baby before the due date, which for me, it's music to my ears since the sooner she comes, the less she will weigh! Also, I'm ready to NOT be pregnant. Carrying a baby in the womb and a toddler in my arms has taken a toll in back. I've had lots of back pain and I'm EXHAUSTED beyond a could imagine possible. I talked to my former cleaning lady and I re-hired her. I just don't have energy to clean the house anymore. She is coming on Monday. It will be the best $55 I will ever spent!
This is Jacqueline's new favorite spot in the house. She loves playing, watching cartoons and "reading" her books in this little corner. So cute! It's nice that the toys stay in the stairs instead of all over the den! Today Kyle got home a bit early and we had some time to play with her after dinner. He was blowing in her belly and she was laughing out loud. She was having a great time.
I'm living the happiest time of my life. I'm married to the man that I've prayed for and I'm the mother of 2 beautiful tiny little people who have invaded my heart the moment that I laid my eyes on them. I would eat cake every day if I could. I love feeling clean and sometimes event take a shower before working out or going to the beach, I sleep with an "eye sheet", I love smelling my husband, I love coffee with tons of cream, my guilty pleasure is watching Teen Mom and reading "trash" magazines, I have phobia of frogs, I pop my knuckles, love the smell of clean laundry,I often misplace my car keys, phone and wallet. I wish I was more patient. I hope my children one day will accept Jesus as their Savior. I blog because I love taking pictures of my children and writing about what I don't want to forget.
