Doesn't look like it, but it is

This is hug. It looks like a wresling match, but it's a loving hug. J is slowly learning how to be gentle
So, we tried again...still doesn't look like a hug. They play most of time very well (which gives me a much needed break!). Sometimes someone ends up crying and my break is over! Love my girls!! We went to dinner with our neighboors last night and everyone has 3 kids and they are a little older than ours. One of the couples told us: "The days are long, but the years are short". Everyone keeps telling us how this time goes by so fast (even strangers at Target tells me that all the time). That's one of the reasons I love having this blog. I can't freze them, but at least, I'll forever have memories of this time in my blog. Memories that otherwise would forget. Sometimes the days are very long and I'm wiped out by the end of the day, but time does goes by a blink of an eye. I love being at home with them (even though some days I temporarily miss my office job).   ha!   I'm truly so blessed to spend this time of their lives with them all day long and every day with them!!

He is Here!

He is here!!! My Dad is really here in the U.S visiting us! It has being a dream of mine of 20 years. I never thought it would become true, but it finally did. We picked him up early in the morning on May 10th and he will be here until the 24th. My brother and my niece Daniela drove from Carolina Beach to pick him up at the airport which it was really sweet to drive 4 hours to surprise him.

I was all smiles and sooo happy!

He has met all the other granddaughters and Vivian was the only he hadn't had the chance to meet...until now!

We celebrated Daniela's day

I took this picture for my sister Sara. She loves Subway and we thought of her immed. when we saw it.
This is Rich. Rick is Kyle's boss who happened to speak Portuguese (he lived in Brazil for a few years when he was very young). Rich interpreted to my Dad when Kyle called him to ask his blessing to marry me. He helped make the proposal very special b/c of it. I was so impressed that Kyle did this for me.

Kyle's office
We took him to Bentley's for lunch. This is where we had our wedding reception

We walked uptown for a little bit after lunch

Dinner time

On Thursday, I took him to Carolina Beach to spend a few days w/ my brother and his family. He wanted to look around the gas station  and see how it compares to his in Brazil

Mother of 2

These 2 little people are the reason the word Mother has meaning. They have brough me so much joy. I have learned so much about myself by being their mother. I have learned so much about my mom's love to  me by been their mother. I have learned so much about God's love and grace. Some days are so hard. My patience is running low, I'm emotionally and physically tired and I cannot wait for their bed time, so I can plop in the sofa. But, I miss them when they are asleep. I get excited when I go to pick them in the morning from their cribs and can't hardly wait to kiss and hug them. Although in the end of the day I am usually exausted, my hope each day is that I was a good mother to them. My hope is that they will grow to love God and follow His commands. My hope is that they will claim Jesus as their Savior. Am I going to remember years from now if laundry didn 't get done, if that the sink was full of dirty disher or if my floor had food crumbs and my house was dusty??!!  Maybe I will. But it will matter? Not really. My children's smiles, their little hands pulling my skirt wanting attention, their innocent eyes...yeah, that I won't ever forget these precious moments. My girls are indeed God's gift to me. I love my girls!!!

Vivian loves playing in my kitchen
Today I dressed her up in a princess outfit
Jacqueline's newest obcession is dancing. She loves, loves dancing!!

Little Picasso

What you see painted in my walls is burgundy lipstick. Our little Picasso scribbed in 6 of ous walls. She also destroyed the carpet. Kyle and I spent our evening scrubbing the carpet hoping it would come off. Not even the professional carpet cleaners were able to reverse her "art work".

On the following morning, she passed by the walls and said: "Jacqueline paint".
How can anyone be mad for too long when looking at that face??!!!
