Choo!! Choo!! Jacqueline is 2!

We celebrated Jacqueline's 2nd b-day last Saturday (her actually b-day is on the 16th). She loves trains, so we did a Thomas and Friends theme b-day party. We had a great turned out!

Proud grandparents (Sorry, Mom. I know this is not a good picture of you, but I didn't know how to delete it uless I uploaded all the pictures again).

Cheeeese!!

My baby girl behaved so well! She played the entire time and just got fussy when was time for her to nurse
My friend Adiel, his daughter Isabella, Armand and Vivian--a very multi-racial group! (Adiel is Brazilian, Vivian and Isabella are 1/2 American and 1/2 Brazilian and Armand is 1/2 Indian and 1/2 Hungarian!)

One of the best parts of ANY b-day party...C-A-K-E!!!!!!! Almond flavored pound cake w/ cream cheese filling and butter cream icing...delicious!

Yumm....pizza and juice!

She blew her candle all by herself. Such a big girl!

Friends from play group--I've joined a play group when Jacqueline was 1 month old and ever since I have developed several friedships. I'm so thankful for my group of mommy friends!

As she calls it--"bole" ( the actual word in Portuguese is bolo). She loves cake like her mom!

STOP!!!!!!!!!!

Stop growing, Vivian! I wish I could freeze her...time is going by too fast. I've "blinked" and she is now 7 months. I want my baby creature to remain a baby.
She is fascinated w/ a very "interesting" white ceiling!

Clapping

This picture is so her. She is always so happy and loves bouncing and clapping her little tine hands.
Slow down, Vivian! I know one day I will enjoy going to get mani/pedi w/you, shopping while sipping our Starbucks lattes, going to watch chick flicks and hear you talk about your boy crushes while I cook dinner, but for now, I'm very much enjoying holding you in my lap, kissing your delicious cheeks and making you laugh out loud while kissing your neck.
Love,
Mamae

The Moon's Christmas Party and My Gym

Saturday night we went to the Moon's annual Chrismas party. We got a babysitter and enjoyed several hours of time w/ friends. It has being so long since we've being in a date. We were the last ones to leave b/c we were having so much fun! Here is Kyle w/ his friends. These are guys from his men's bible study when he was single.
And here are the wives

Happy and relaxed--what a great night out!

One of Jacqueline's friends from play group had a birthday party at My Gym yesterday. She had sooo much fun!

Vivian's First Thanksgiving

We had a pretty low key Thanksgiving this year. We moved in to our new house few days before and Kyle and I were exausted to say the least. I ordered food from the cafeteria and we went to my mom's. The food was pretty good and we were all "thankful" there was no cooking or mess to clean up! Here are some pictures of the girls. I ordered these beany hats from Etsy.com. I think they look so adorable and I like that I can switch the flower to match their outfits.

The Last Box

We have finally moved in into our new house! Kyle and I worked hard to get settle as quick as possible-- that meant opening all of the moving in boxes before Thanksgiving. For our surprise, we found these 2 little creatures in the last box! We were wondering where they've been! :>
Suburban life is quite different from living in an urban neighborhood. All of our neighboors came out to greet us on the day we moved in. Everyone is so friendly and there are 33 kids in our street! There are several toddlers same age as Jacqueline. Our next door neighboors brought us homemade cakes to welcome us. I feel like I stepped in into the 1950's where neighbors actually knew each other's names and you would not feel weird knocking on their door to ask to borrow a cup of sugar. I love it! I though I would miss the old house b/c of the memories we've shared, but I haven't. I'm ready to build new memories here w/ Kyle and my girls!

Vivian's Dedication

How do you get 2 babies and 2 toddlers to look at the same direction for a picture? Well, it's pretty much an impossible task!

One day I hope day Vivian will make the decision to follow Christ. The dedication (on Oct 24th) was a promise to God that Kyle and I will raise her to love Jesus and raise her to follow Him. We hope that one day she will accept God's gift of salvation and realize her need to repent from her sins.
Vivian,
Your Daddy and I love you soooo much and can't wait to tell you about God unfailing love!
